The dental clinic of Dr. Elisabeth Egio is an exclusive practice specializing in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. The new clinic project becomes an excellent opportunity, after 20 years of experience in the field, to offer a unique and highly differentiated concept.
The clinic’s differentiation centers around the importance of the “patient experience”. On one hand, the focus is on patient care through listening and communication, and on the other, it emphasizes direct involvement in the patient’s own process. From this perspective, Vitale explores the concept of “patient experience” to create a space that accommodates all the clinic’s audiences and their particular needs. Everything in the design has a purpose, a reason, and an intention: it immerses the patient in a space that enhances functionality, listening, calm, and protection.
The conceptualization of the project encompasses all brand elements and environments, from communication strategy and branding to the interior design of the clinic. A coherent brand universe is created that aligns with the business philosophy, radiating harmony, attention to detail, serenity, and innovation. The proposal takes patient care to the next level. To turn the visit into a memorable experience, a natural and welcoming environment is created that induces a contemplative and inspiring atmosphere.
Located in the center of Elche (Spain), the clinic spans 210 m² and meets a comprehensive and demanding set of requirements in a space with a very irregular and complex layout. The design creates a space that provides well-being to users through a connection with a friendly environment. The space smoothly transitions from the exterior to the interior, recreating a biophilic continuity that envelops and surrounds the patient. Organic shapes, natural tones, colored arches, stone patterns, and vegetation connect with a state of calm and balance, where time seems to stand still.
Reception Design: The vegetation in the storefront leads to the reception area, which is clad in 15×15 natural-textured stoneware. A large wardrobe, acting as paneling, discreetly addresses storage needs and hides the electrical panel. This wardrobe leads to a capsule covered with glossy ceramic tiles in a harmonious sage-toned gradient (7.5×30 cm). This curvilinear volume extends along the right side of the clinic, housing the budget area, the doctor’s office, the radiology room, the laboratory, and the sterilization room.
Waiting Area Design: The waiting area is a warm, open space that connects with the exterior, enveloping the patient in a serene atmosphere with vegetation, natural finishes, a sinuous sofa, and organically designed coffee tables.
The children’s waiting area is conceptualized to visually connect with the main waiting area while being clearly defined. It is a monochromatic capsule with a small tiered platform, serving as an ideal setting for reading and developing creativity in an environment that values sensitivity and harmony.
The clinic’s circulation corridor is energized with different textures and finishes that create rhythm in the space, providing a cozy sensation. A color tunnel separates patient bathroom access from the main hallway, enhancing privacy. The side of this tunnel features generous lacquered storage cabinets, matching the floor tone and providing easy access for all clinic staff. The apparent end of the corridor becomes the most visible communication point in the clinic, creating the perfect setting to interact with the brand.
The project defines spaces that surround the patient through the use of indirect lighting, colored arches, and changes in flooring. The circle, which symbolizes balance and harmony, takes a prominent role in the logo design and the interior, which is full of rounded shapes, spheres, circles, and arches.
The doctor’s office is strategically placed at the bend in the corridor to allow visual connection to the two main treatment rooms. Both the offices and the main treatment rooms are designed with patient care in mind, focusing on listening and communication. Special attention is given to creating functional work and care areas.
The result is a clinic with an innovative and disruptive approach to its sector—a medical center that communicates the essence of a brand filled with sensitivity and positive sensory stimuli.

The space was previously a physiotherapy center. A thorough distribution optimization was carried out to make the most of the irregular layout and functionally organize the space.
The project maximizes natural light from a small facade and visually highlights the public area of the clinic from the exterior, while maintaining privacy for the medical area.
The branding project for Dr. Elisabeth Egio’s clinic in Elche emphasizes the unique philosophy of the business, offering a differentiated concept in the dental clinic field. Specializing in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry, the clinic presents a coherent brand universe that reflects harmony, detail, serenity, and innovation. The brand identity is based on the surname “Egio,” inspired by geometries of the mouth and smile. Circles and semicircles interlace as ornaments to define the doctor’s last name. The brand is designed as a jewel, prioritizing delicacy and detail.
