Tattoo and body piercing studio

An atelier of ideas, an art and aesthetics laboratory for body modification: these are the values the design of this young and innovative tattoo and body piercing studio with a small art gallery aims to transmit.

The interior design connects with the creative and artistic spirit of the brand and aims to normalize the image of this type of establishment. The business is directed at all kinds of clients, breaking away from the negative connotations typically associated with the sector by creating a bright, friendly-looking space that contrasts with the stereotype of tattoo studios being dark, overly saturated spaces.

The space is located in a 70 m² area, which has been transformed into a loft-style atelier and alternative exhibition hall by removing the false ceiling to take full advantage of the space. The heart of the project is the multifunctional space, which is visible from the outside and serves as a drawing studio, client service area, exhibition space, and art gallery.

Natural materials, epoxy resin continuous flooring, visible installations, the use of the stenciling technique in the decoration of the walls “tattooed” with Old School motifs from the 1940s, and tattoo sketches hung from tensioners reinforce the spirit of this creative workshop.

Before and After

The space was a corner shop that had previously been a clothing store and was divided into several small rooms. The available budget for the execution was very limited, so the project had to make the most of the potential of the space: the original ceramic floor was painted, and false ceilings were removed to improve the height and spatial perception.
